Young Musicians is a small-group class for musicians ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old, and is an ideal way to get your young child ready to study piano, violin, and other instruments and a fun way to introduce your child to the Opal community. Young Musicians is designed to build a love of music and a strong musical foundation in our youngest students: children who love music and are excited to start playing an instrument but are not quite ready for individual lessons will adore this class.
A step beyond early traditional childhood music classes, Young Musicians introduces musical concepts, language, and vocabulary. Our course is designed to move students toward individual lesson readiness by including basics of playing the instrument as well as larger concepts vital to music study, like developing practicing habits and performance etiquette.
Young Musicians is a ten-week progressive class. Each session will start in mid-September or mid-January, ending with a recital musicians will love!
The Winter 2020 session will begin the week of February 3rd and run through March 30th, and sign-ups are available now. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
