Huixian (Emily) Li, Piano
Huixian Li is a distinguished Chinese pianist and educator, currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Piano Pedagogy at the Catholic University of America. With a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in Music from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, she brings a comprehensive understanding of teaching methodologies, specifically tailored for K-12 students.
Since beginning her piano studies at the age of six, Huixian has performed in solo and chamber recitals, as well as on prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall. Her extensive performance background enriches her teaching, offering students valuable insights into professional piano artistry.
Huixian has over six years of teaching experience in China, where she guided students to achieve exceptional results in ABRSM exams and international competitions. Her students have gained recognition from renowned professors worldwide. Huixian’s approach is personalized, focusing on each student’s individual learning style while nurturing both technical excellence and a love for music.
