PART- TIME GUITAR/UKULELE INSTRUCTOR, Opal Music Studio, Alexandria, VA
Opal Music Studio in Alexandria, VA, seeks a part-time Guitar/Ukulele Instructor to join its accomplished faculty and add support to quickly growing student enrollment. Interested candidates will have:

a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance or Education, Master’s degree preferred
-
at least 2 years’ experience with private teaching. Other teaching experience (i.e. music theory/technology, class piano) and certifications (Suzuki, Kodaly, Music Mind Games, etc.) considered a plus.

broad knowledge of pedagogical repertoire, methods and standard teaching repertoire
-
performing experience as both soloist and chamber musician
-
a dynamic personality and a creative and resourceful approach to teaching
-
a great professional attitude and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and administrators
An Opal Guitar/Ukulele Instructor will:
-
teach private lessons to students of all ages and abilities
-
teach in a beautiful studio space in the heart of Old Town Alexandria
-
choose their own teaching days, but must be available to teach on-site in Alexandria from 3:00-8:00pm on designated teaching days

provide individualized instruction and personalized curriculum to each student
-
access numerous Opal events and opportunities in which students can participate and perform
