Sonya Chung performs throughout the Washington DC area as a regular guest of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She also tours and frequently collaborates with the Boston-based conductorless chamber ensemble A Far Cry.

While her extensive professional experience includes a wide range of classical repertoire, from opera and ballet to contemporary and chamber music performance, Sonya embraces and is equally committed to the high-energy demands in rock and large-scale pop events, modern dance and theatre.

Recent tours include playing Concertmaster for the international tour of Hamilton across North America and Asia. Theatre credits include the Kennedy Center productions of Spamalot, Bye Bye Birdie, and Schmigadoon!. Sonya is often featured as guest Concertmaster for many of the touring shows at Capital One Arena, DAR Constitution Hall, Jiffy Lube Live, and Merriweather Post Pavilion.
